The comprehensive studies have found that uncomfortable speed skating shoes may increase the risk of athletes'foot injuries, and wearing customised speed skating insoles can effectively alleviate this problem. This paper hasinvestigated the performance of 3D printing custom insoles based on the foot shape of a youth speed skater by using the method of literature review, experimental analysis and data analysis. It is concluded that the 3D printing customised speed skating insole can improve the subjective comfort of the foot without changing the original skating posture characteristics of the athlete;improve the problem of over-concentration of local stress during skating and reduce the risk of foot injuries by increasing the contact area of the sole of the foot and decreasing the local compression of the sole of the foot;and increase the peak force of the mid-foot region of the athlete to realise the active output of stirrup force of the arch region to the ground. It is recommended to conduct subsequent study on the plantar pressure and lower limb kinematic parameters of athletes after wearing the speed skating insoles for a long period of time for training;to promote the popularity of customised speed skating insoles in professional training and physical education as an auxiliary equipment for young speed skaters, and to continuously improve them in the direction of low cost;and to promote its design ideas and production techniques to other winter sports.
