The academic interpretation of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities based on student stratification contains the concepts of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, taking students as the foundation and goal motivation. It follows the principles of difference, subjectivity, and dynamics. It is necessary to dialectically handle the relationships between universality and particularity, teaching and learning,as well as theory and reality. In terms of practical context, the objectivity of differences in learning situations, the need for reform in the current situation of ideological and political course construction, the increasing sense of gain of college students in ideological and political courses, and the fundamental aspect of improving the effectiveness of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities constitute the realistic appeal for ideological and political courses based on student stratification. In terms of value implication, the significance of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities based on student stratification is embodied as follows:enhancing the affinity and pertinence of the courses, enhancing the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of teachers and students, and strengthening the synergy between ideological and political courses and professional course teaching in colleges and universities.
