Objective To explore effect of non pharmacological intervention on craving and relapse of alcohol dependent patients. Methods The paper chose 84 alcohol dependent patients in substance dependence department of our hospital from January 2022 to June 2023,and divided them into observation group and control group randomly, with 42 cases in each group.Control group was treated with routine alcohol dependence treatment and nursing intervention, while observation group with non pharmacological intervention on the basis.Alcohol craving levels were evaluated and compared between two groups before and after intervention with Visual Analog Scale(VAS),relapse rate was compared between two groups within 3 months after discharge. Results Before intervention, two groups had similar levels of alcohol craving, without statistically significant difference(P>0.05).After non pharmacological interventions, alcohol craving degree in observation group was significantly lower than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Alcohol relapse rate of observation group within 3 months of discharge was significantly lower than control group, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Non pharmacological intervention can reduce craving for alcohol of alcohol dependent patients effectively, prevent and reduce relapse after treatment, with positive role of improving curative effect and alcohol abuse.
