Precharge is an essential part of the charging process,involving the elevation of voltage by the electric vehicle supply equipment(EVSE)and the closure of the disconnection device in the electric vehicle(EV),making it a stage prone to issues in the charging process.process.Particularly in charging systems that follow European charge standards,the use of PLC communication protocols introduces additional complexities during the precharge process.This article discusses the testing methods for the precharge process in European charge standards and the analysis of common problems encountered in this process.
