An in-depth research and analysis on the impact of Artificial Intelligence Technology in the current field of cartography is conducted in the paper which outlines the evolution of map-making from traditional manual methods to AI-driven automation from a historical perspective.Additionally,it discusses the opportunities and challenges brought by the application of AI in the development of cartography and emphasizes its important role in the progress of cartographic science.The article focuses on the application of deep learning and neural network technologies in cartography,especially in such areas as predictive analysis,pattern recognition and feature extraction.The study shows that artificial intelligence can effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of map production and expand the functional use of maps,particularly in the fields like urban planning,environmental monitoring and disaster management.
