This paper focuses on the wire-operated control system of intelligent networked vehicles.Firstly,the definitions of intelligent networked vehicles(INVs)and actuation by wire are discussed,and the importance of actuation by wire systems to improve the safety,comfort,and intelligence of INVs is emphasized.Second,the classification,structure,and basic principles of the drive-by-wire system are analyzed,covering the electro-hydraulic braking system(EHB)and mechanical drive-by-wire system(EMB).The advantages and disadvantages of EHB and EMB in practical applications are further analyzed.Finally,the key technologies of smart grid-connected vehicle brake-by-wire in terms of fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control,motors and their controllers,and pedal simulation are discussed.These researches and analyses are of great significance in promoting the further development and application of intelligent networked vehicle wire-operated control system technology.
