The quality of education directly affects the future and development of a country.Russia is one of the world major countries and an educational powerhouse.Hence,the developments and achievements of its education system deserve special attention.The paper,based on the keynote speech delivered by the leader of the Ministry of Education of Russian Federation at the Second International Forum of Education Ministers with the theme of“Shaping the Future”,provides a detailed examination of the current state and achievements of Russian education,including measures and accomplishments in preschool education,basic education,vocational education,supplementary education,and international educational cooperation.
