热河老街胡氏家族史考略

A Historical Survey of Hu Family of Rehe Old Street

乾隆朝中期,浙江上虞县胡大昭流寓热河,受聘夏熙为幕友,其后人随其迁居热河,生息繁衍,诗文传家。废科举后,胡家鼐创办“劝学所”、兴办新学,胡之冕创办热河法政学堂(河北民族师范学院前身),几代人为承德教育事业发展做出了积极努力,成为江浙民人流寓承德的翘楚之家。其家族史,承载着鲜活滚烫的地域文化表达,是承德地方文化资源的重要组成,更是承德地方多民族交往交流交融的历史记忆和文化样本。

In the middle of Qianlong period,Hu Dazhao of Shangyu County in Zhejiang Province moved to Chengde(Rehe)and was employed by Xia Xi as his staff.Since then,the descendants of Hu moved to Rehe,lived and multiplied here,with poetry and literature as the tradition of the family.After the abolition of the imperial examination,Hu Jia-nai set up Encourage Learning School"and started new learning,and Hu Zhiman founded the Rehe Law and Administration School(the predecessor of Hebei Minzu Normal University).Several generations of Hu family made positive efforts for the development of education in Chengde,and became one of the most famous families emigrated from Jiangsu,Zhejiang,the Central Plains and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region living in Chengde.Hu family's history carries the typical regional cultural expression.As an important component of cultural resources,it is the historical memory and cultural sample of multi-ethnic communication and integration in Chengde.
