Exploring the problems existing in the design of small and medium-sized residential buildings and the design methods suitable for architectural design play an important role in improving the comfort level and enhancing building efficiency of small and medium-sized residential buildings.This paper analyzes the problems existing in the design of small and medium-sized residential buildings in the aspects of plane layout,residential flexibility,spatial integration,environmental interoperability and interior decoration.Based on the existing problems in architectural design,this paper puts forward effective solutions in order to improve the design effect of small and medium-sized residential buildings at this stage.
