This paper explored the internal and external environments for the development of an online freight transport platform by the Beijing Railway Group Company,arguing for the urgent establishment of its own online freight transport platform.The paper studied the operational modes and business characteristics of typical online freight transport platforms,analyzed the current status and challenges of the online freight transport platform development,and proposed various models for the construction of the online freight transport platform by the Beijing Railway Group Company.By comparing construction costs,operational difficulties,and risk controls of the platform,the paper offered mode recommendations for online freight transport platform development by the Beijing Railway Group Company.The results indicate that collaboration with established online freight transport platform enterprises possessing a significant transportation capacity pool represents a feasible approach for establishing the online freight transport platform by the Beijing Railway Group Company.This study provides technical references for the online freight transport platform by the Beijing Railway Group Company.
