Summarize Professor Zhang Deying’s clinical experience in using the theory of“purging soil from trees”to treat cognitive impairment after stroke.Zhang Deying analyzed the etiology and pathogenesis of cognitive impairment after stroke from the perspective of phlegm syndrome,pointing out that the main pathogenesis of this disease is phlegm stasis and kidney deficiency,with phlegm turbidity and obstruction of the orifices as the primary pathogenesis.In response to this pathogenesis,he proposed a treatment method of“clearing the soil and resolving phlegm to open the orifices”.It points out that in clinical application,attention should be paid not to blindly remove blood stasis and tonify the kidneys,eliminate phlegm turbidity and kidney qi,and eliminate blood stasis during the untreatable process;the method of using traditional Chinese medicine to treat phlegm runs through various stages of the disease,including the plateau,fluctuation,and decline stages,and accurately treats the pathogenic characteristics of each stage.Attached is one medical record for verification.
