The Efforts of the CPC to Improve the Relationship between the KMT and the CPC and the Construction of the Resistance Base Areas in 1942

1941年至1942年,因日军“扫荡”、国民党军事冲突和磨擦等,抗日根据地的建设处于最严重困难时期。中国共产党为渡过难关将改善国共关系纳入考虑范畴,该谋划最终虽不了了之,但中共为配合改善国共关系在根据地采取相应措施,坚持原有根据地而非打出去,切实减轻根据地民众负担;提出抗战胜利的时间表,提振根据地民众胜利的信心;提出与宣传战后建国方针,赢得民众广泛而坚定的支持。中共通过自身努力,使政治主张符合民众利益、愿望和需求,加强根据地建设与民众的联系,深得民心。这些举措扩大了中国共产党政治影响力,也是中共在全民族抗战中中流砥柱作用的鲜明昭示。

From 1941 to 1942,the construction and development of the resistance base areas were in the most difficult period due to the Japanese army’s“mopping up”,military conflicts and friction with the Kuomintang.In order to overcome difficulties,The CPC began to consider improving the relationship between the KMT and the CPC.The CPC took corresponding measures in the resistance base areas to improving the relationship between the KMT and the CPC,insisted on the original resistance base areas rather than expand the resistance base areas,effectively lightened the burden of the people in the resistance base area,proposed a timetable for the victory of the war of resistance,raised the people’s confidence of victory in the resistance base area,proposed and publicized the post-war nation-founding strategy,and won broad and firm support from the people.The CPC has made efforts in various aspects to align its political proposals with the interests,desires,and needs of the people,and to strengthen the connection between the construction of the resistance base areas and the people,which has won the hearts of the people.These measures expanded the political influence of the CPC,which is also a clear indication of the mainstay role of the CPC in the war of resistance.
