人工智能对中国式现代化的影响——兼论新质生产力的作用机制

The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Chinese Modernization——On the Mechanism of the New Quality Productivity Forces

人工智能作为兼具信息技术与通信技术特点的数智技术,对推进中国式现代化具有深远影响。本文采用2011—2022年中国30个省份面板数据,运用双向固定模型、中介效应模型,实证分析人工智能对中国式现代化的影响,以及新质生产力在其中的作用机制。研究发现,人工智能不仅可以直接对中国式现代化进程产生正向影响,而且可以通过推动新质生产力发展,间接促进中国式现代化。异质性检验表明,人工智能对信息化水平较高及东部地区中国式现代化的赋能效应更显著。构筑人工智能产业新高地、打造新质生产力发展新生态、谋划区域协调发展新思路,能够进一步助力中国式现代化发展。

As a digital intelligence technology with the characteristics of both information technology and communication technology,artificial intelligence has a profound impact on promoting Chinese modernization.Using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2022,this paper empirically analyzes the influence of AI on Chinese modernization and the mechanism of new quality productive forces by using the bidirectional fixed model and the mediating effect mode.It is found that AI can not only directly have a positive impact on the development of Chinese modernization,but also indirectly promote Chinese modernization by promoting the development of new quality productive forces.The heterogeneity test shows that AI has a more significant empowering effect on Chinese modernization in areas with the higher level of informatization and the eastern regions.Therefore,it is proposed to build a new hub of AI industry,create the new ecology of new quality productive forces development,and develop new ideas of coordinated development of various regions,so as to promote Chinese modernization development.
