追忆中国现代中兽医学家宋大鲁先生

时光飞逝,岁月如梭,从1994年9月1日到南京农业大学中兽医学科宋大鲁教授门下求学,至今已经整整30年。先生2018年1月4日逝世。每每想起先生,总难免神伤。先生的音容笑貌犹如昨日,历历在目。先生自幼苦难,勤俭好学,上进要强,靠自身努力考取初级师范学校,边教学边苦读,终于考取南京农学院,成为一名兽医学生,学成后被陈振旅、张幼成等老先生赏识,留校任教中兽医学。先生长期致力于马、牛、羊病的中兽医防治以及中兽医药提高家禽免疫力的研究,成果丰硕,并被《人民日报》报道;带领学科组创收并自力更生修建了中兽医学科学楼;创办了国际兽医针灸培训班;创建了南京农业大学中药材生产专业;创办中国高校宠物医院,成为我国中兽医学的先驱和主要领军人之一。先生于1997年初退休,开始专注于宠物中兽医学发展,开创了宠物中兽医学的先河,培养了一大批宠物行业的领军人物,并编著和翻译了近1000万字的相关著作,这些著作都成为本行业的经典参考书籍。因对中兽医学卓越的贡献,先生被中央电视台《科技人生》专栏采访报道。先生一生勤奋求索,执着发扬中兽医,引领行业发展,永远值得我等后辈们学习!

Time flies,time flies.It has been 30 years since I started studying under Professor SONG Dalu in the Department of Chinese Veterinary Medicine at Nanjing Agricultural University on September 1st,1994.Mr.SONG passed away on January 4th,2018,it is more than 6 years ago.Every time I think of Mr.SONG,I inevitably feel a sense of heartache.The gentleman’s appearance and smile are as vivid as yesterday,vividly remembered.Mr.SONG suffered from hardships since childhood,was diligent,hardworking,and eager to learn.He worked hard to pass the entrance examination for a junior normal school and studied hard while teaching.Finally,he was admitted to Nanjing Agricultural College and became a veterinary student.He was appreciated by professors such as CHEN Zhenlüand ZHANG Youcheng and stayed on to teach Chinese veterinary medicine.He began to study Chinese veterinary medicine and devoted himself to the prevention and treatment of equine,cattle,and sheep diseases,and to improve poultry immunity using Chinese veterinary medicine.His achievements were fruitful and were reported by the People’s Daily.He also led the subject group teachers to generate income and built his own Chinese Veterinary Medicine Science Building;he founded the International Veterinary Acupuncture and Moxibustion Training Class,created the specialty of Chinese herbal medicine production in Nanjing Agricultural University,was also the first teacher of university in China to establish a pet hospital,and became one of the pioneers and main leaders of Chinese veterinary medicine in China.Mr.SONG retired in early 1997 and began to focus on the development of veterinary medicine in pets.He pioneered veterinary medicine in pets,trained and led a large number of leading figures in the pet industry,and authored and translated nearly 10 million words of related works,all of which have become classic reference books in the industry.As a result,Mr.SONG was interviewed and reported by the Science and Technology Life Column of CCTV.Mr.SONG has been hardworking,persistent in veterinary medicine,and leading the industry throughout his life.He is always worthy of learning from us and our younger generations!
