Morality,ideology and practice belong to the same category of ideological and political education,and are the three aspects of human education in colleges and universities in the new era that can never be ignored.The gist of WANG Yangming's thought is rich in cultivating virtue and shaping thoughts and behavior.Thus,there is an inherent and natural connection between Yangming thought and college education.The evolution of the times ultimately aims to the change of human beings,in which process the emergence of moral misconduct,the existence of ideological construction dilemmas,and the lack of outstanding practical ability are more prevalent or relatively typical among college students in the new era.These problems deserve the great attention of all sectors of the society,especially the education sector.Examining Yangming's thought under the perspective of nurturing people in the new era,some insights can be gained for addressing moral misconduct,optimizing ideological construction and improving practical ability.
