公共游戏空间包容性设计:照顾者视角的实证研究

Inclusive Design of Public Play Spaces:an Empirical Study from the Caregivers'Perspective

近年来,学界逐渐关注公共游戏空间的包容性问题,以满足不同儿童的多样化需求。然而,对于陪同孩子的照顾者而言,公共游戏空间设计的包容性考虑尚显不足。随着社会结构的变革,家庭结构的变化导致越来越多的祖父母和家务助理参与到孩子的日常照顾中,商业、大都会和国际城市尤为明显。目前,这些变化显著而关键地影响了对公共游戏空间质量和有效性的考虑。本研究以香港的公共游戏空间为个案,采用多种定性研究方法收集数据。从照顾者视角探讨其如何看待公共游戏空间,及其需求和偏好。通过对数据的综合分析,研究聚焦于四个关键因素,即包容性、安全性、自由与控制,以及氛围,以期填补社会变化和公共游戏空间设计之间的差距。

In recent years,researchers has progressively turned their attention towards inclusivity within public play spaces,aiming to cater to the diverse needs of different children.However,for caregivers accompanying children,there remains a conspicuous insufficiency in the inclusivity considerations embedded in the design of public play spaces.As societal structures undergo transformation,shifts in family configurations have led to an increased involvement of grandparents and domestic assistants in the day-to-day care of children,a phenomenon particularly pronounced in business,metropolitan and international cities.Currently,these changes significantly and critically impact considerations regarding the quality and effectiveness of public play spaces.This study takes the public play space in Hong Kong as a case study,employing a variety of qualitative research methods for data collection.From the caregivers'perspective,the study explores how they perceive public play spaces and elucidates their needs and preferences.Through a comprehensive analysis of the gathered data,the study focuses on four key factors—inclusivity,safety,autonomy and control,and ambiance,with the aim of bridging the gap between societal changes and the design of public play spaces.
