Climate change has emerged as a significant global challenge in the world,exerting profound implications on human health.The healthcare sector,particularly the field of radiology,assumes a crucial role as a major contributor to global carbon emissions and warranting focused attention.In September 2020,China explicitly introduced the Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals,presenting novel challenges to the healthcare industry,including radiology.This paper provides a concise overview of the impact of climate change on human health,emphasizing the carbon emissions predicament within the healthcare sector.Furthermore,it proposes effective strategies for radiology to respond,with the aim of compelling radiology practitioners to proactively address climate change in alignment with the Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals and contributing to the global and Chinese efforts in achieving carbon neutrality.
