By defining ecological residences, the author describedconnotation, characteristics and construction goals. Seven correspondingpolicy-propping systems including green energy resources offering,water environment, air environment, the environment of sound, lightand heat, afforestation, waste management and disposal, and the useof green building materials were thoroughly discussed in this presentpaper for the purpose of developing desirable ecological residences inChina.
