荒野与文明——基于一种新荒野观的思考

Wilderness and Civilization:Reflections Based on a New View of Wilderness

荒野观在很大程度上影响着人们对待自然的基本态度和方式,对现实的荒野保护产生重大影响,错误的荒野观将导致危险的、破坏性的环境政策和措施。文章以中美文明互鉴的视角,从对荒野的重新定义、重新评价以及重新定位三个方面入手,建构一种符合生态文明发展要求的生态荒野观,以期纠正国内对荒野存在的片面认知和负面评价,正确认识荒野对于人类文明发展的正面价值,特别是珍视荒野不可替代的生态价值和蕴含的巨大精神文化价值,推进中国的荒野保护和生态文明建设。

The view of wilderness has a significant impact on people's basic attitudes and ways of dealing with Nature, as well as on the protection of the wilderness in reality. Incorrect views about wilderness will lead to dangerous and destructive environmental policies and measures. From the perspective of mutual learning between Chinese and American civilizations, this article attempts to construct an ecological view of wilderness that meets the requirements of ecological civilization development from three aspects: the redefinition of wilderness, revaluation of its value, and repositioning of the relationship between civilization and wilderness. The aim is to reverse Chinese's one-sided understanding and negative evaluation of wilderness, correctly understand the positive value of wilderness for human civilization development, especially cherish the irreplaceable ecological value and the enormous spiritual and cultural value contained in wilderness, and promote China's wilderness protection and ecological civilization construction.
