Monitoring technology plays a crucial role in environmental protection,energy conservation and emission reduction.In this paper,the development process and characteristics of traditional monitoring technology and modern monitoring technology are summarized.Then,the application of monitoring technology in air,water and soil environmental protection is discussed,including air pollutant monitoring,water quality monitoring and soil pollution monitoring.This paper also discusses the application of monitoring technology in energy utilization and emission reduction,involving energy consumption monitoring and greenhouse gas emission monitoring.Finally,the challenges and future trends of monitoring technology development are discussed,and research prospects and suggestions are put forward.
