基于依存树库的汉语二语写作句法复杂度研究

A study of syntactic complexity in CFL learners’writing based on dependency treebank

摘要 句法复杂度可以用来评估学习者的语言能力、描述语言特征和追踪语言发展。因此,了解汉语二语写作句法复杂度的发展情况,并找寻有效的测量指标,显得尤为重要。本研究以依存语法为理论指导,基于汉语中介语依存树库,对汉语学习者二语写作句法复杂度进行研究。研究发现:与依存语法相关的指标可以有效评估学习者的语言水平;平均依存距离、宾语关系平均依存距离、介词宾语关系平均依存距离、复句关系平均依存距离和依存关系修正类形比等指标,均能有效区分汉语学习者的语言水平,是二语能力测量的优选指标;高级水平学习者倾向于使用更多低频率的依存关系来提升作文的句法多样性;补语回避和高级水平学习者过度使用复杂句法结构,是当前汉语学习者二语写作中存在的主要问题。 Syntactic complexity indicators play a crucial role in assessing language proficiency,describing language features,and tracking language development in L2 learners.Therefore,it is essential to explore the development of syntactic complexity in CFL learners'writing and identify effective measures for assessing syntactic complexity.This study investigates the syntactic complexity of CFL learners'L2 writing using Dependency Grammar as a theoretical framework and the Chinese Interlanguage Dependency Treebank as the basis.The findings reveal that measures related to dependency grammar demonstrate good validity in assessing syntactic complexity.MDD,MDD-obj,MDD-pobj,MDD-cr,and CTTR-DR are effective indicators for distinguishing the language proficiency of CFL learners,making them preferred measures for evaluating syntactic complexity.Furthermore,advanced learners diversify the syntactic forms in their compositions by utilizing low frequency syntactic structures.However,it is worth noting that the overuse of complex syntactic structures and the avoidance of complements pose significant challenges in CFL learners'writing.
