Objective To explore the impact of neuromuscular electrical stimulation combined with swallowing training intervention on the dysphagia severity, swallowing function and quality of life in patients with dysphagia after craniocerebral injury. Methods 80 patients with dysphagia after craniocerebral injury admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to March 2023 were selected and ranomly divided into reference group(40 cases)and study group(40 cases). The reference group was given swallowing training intervention, and the study group was given neuromuscular electrical stimulation intervention on the basis of the reference group. Both groups were intervened continuously for 4 weeks. The dysphagia severity[video fluorescein angiography(VFC)score],swallowing function[water swallow test(WST)score]and quality of life[eating disorders quality of life scale(ED-QOL)score]were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of intervention, the VFC score of the study group was higher than that of the reference group, while the WST score and ED-QOL score were lower than those of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusions Neuromuscular electrical stimulation combined with swallowing training intervention in patients with dysphagia after craniocerebral injury has significant effect, which can significantly reduce the severity of swallowing dysfunction, and improve the swallowing function and quality of life in patients.
