China is leveraging the Belt and Road Initiative to establish a spatial connectivity network by infrastructure development with neighboring countries.And transportation projects co-built by China and Southeast Asian countries can particularly exemplify the principle of connection as a means to mitigate confrontation.This Chinese-style geographical spatial enhancement markedly diverges from the intrinsic logic of Western geopolitics and represents a significant practice in advancing the building of a regional community with a shared future.Specifically,China forges deep connections with its surrounding geographical space through physical hardware mediums.This connectivity facilitates the natural geographical structure of China and its neighbors,optimizes the relative dynamics between adjacent land and maritime spaces,elevates the overall level of regional coordination,and fosters a value system centered on mutual benefits,win-win cooperation,and a shared future.In the Southeast Asian cases of the Belt and Road Initiative,China/Kunming-Laos/Vientiane Railway enhances the connectivity density of the transportation network,the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway improves transport efficiency,and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor broadens its operational scope,thereby facilitating coordinated collaboration between China and partner countries,advancing spatial geographical objectives of the community with a shared future,and reflecting China's geopolitical spatial implications.
