繁华的苹果

Flourishing Apples

轻笼熟奈香,“楂梨且缀碧,梅杏半传黄。小子幽园至,轻笼熟奈香。”当杜甫在怡人的清香中深情吟诵这首诗的时候,枝叶间红红的果子在唐朝的风中轻轻摇电树上的小红果叫奈,现在她的名字是苹果。偶然得知苹果古代有那么多称呼,内心颇为惭愧。奈、林、沙果、花红、秋子、频婆……这么多眼花缭乱的名字让我觉得“苹果”一词有些陌生,对朝夕相处的苹果,其实我们是多么缺乏认知和了解。也慨然叹息,历史长河漫漫,随便一株植物,一个水果,都会让人心生敬畏,感受到自身生命如此短暂。

Apples were rarely seen in the 1970s and 1980s.Many Achildren dreamed of those crisp apples.As I can remember,the apples in my childhood were mostly big Ralls Janet apples,small Ralls Janet apples,White Winter Pearmain apples,red delicious apples,and Red Jade apples.Old Red Jade apples were dark red in color and beautiful in appearance.They were so sour as to make people wince when they were picked from the branches.However,they were indescribably tasty when they were kept till the winter.The big Ralls Janet apples were fairly crisp in taste and the small Ralls Janet apples were sour and sweet,both of which were popular.As time passed,they gradually faded out from the stage of history,replaced by Red Fuji apples,a shining star with a fine quality.
