摘要
9月28日,知名雕塑艺术家隋建国50年大型回顾展“步与迥:隋建国1974-2024”于青岛西海美术馆开幕。定位于当代艺术的西海美术馆植根青岛当地的文化环境,自开馆以来便关注在地性。此次展览是西海美术馆关注青岛籍艺术家项目的首场展览,首次启用美术馆全部展厅举办艺术家个展,致敬艺术家与城市。
As a retrospective of Sui Jianguo's 50-year artistic career,the exhibition"Dimensions IndefinitelyVariable:Sui Jianguo 1974-2024"not only chronicles and presents the continuities and shifts in the artist's work,the evolution and transformations of his artistic threads,and the refinement of methods and ideas,but also seeks to recreate the context in which art and thought emerge.This is achieved through the collection,organization,and reassembly of a rich array ofdocuments since1974,including manuscripts,diaries,sketches,small sculptures,mind maps,research notes,photographs,and physical artifacts.The exhibition aims to understand these overlapping,divergent,meandering or even direct paths taken,as well as the significance they hold for todayand the future.
