Surrounding green trees,flying egrets,rippling waves,and swimming silver carps...The Xiashan Reservoir in the early summer is as beautiful as pictures.By taking such measures as water source protection,water environment maintenance,and water ecology enhancement,Weifang has successfully kept the water quality of the"largest reservoir in Shandong"consistently above the Grade Ⅲ surface water standard.Controlling a watershed area of 4,210 square kilometers and with a total storage capacity of 1.454 billion cubic meters,Xiashan Reservoir serves as the main water source for Weifang,a strategic water source for the Jiaodong region,and one of China's important drinkingwater sources.
