On the Character of Self-reform of the Communist Party of China under the Comparative Perspective

勇于自我革命是马克思主义政党的内在特质,是中国共产党区别于其他政党的显著标志。在西方中心主义的政党话语理论体系之中,基于政党数量、成员身份等为代表的要素不能成为衡量、判断政党优劣的核心要素。在与“西方中心主义”政党理论的对比分析中,政党是否具有自我革命性成为中西方政党理论重要区分。在对中国共产党自我革命性概念的提出和比较分析的基础上,发现中国共产党具有较强的自我革命性,政党执政政策具有长周期性、整体性和递进性的特征。从长历史周期来看,自我革命性较强的政党更具生存韧性。

Bravery and readiness to reform itself is an intrinsic character of Marxist political parties and it is this prominent mark that distinguishes the Communist Party of China(CPC)from other political parties.In the theoretic system of the western political party discourse based on centralism,elements represented by number of parties and member identity do not constitute the core criteria to judge the quality of a party.When we analyze theories of the western centralist political parties and compare them with those of China,the character of self-reform is a pivotal distinguishing quality.Based on an introduction and a comparative analysis of the concept of self-reform of the CPC,it is found that the CPC has a strong sense of self-reform and its governance is characterized by long-termed periodicity,integrity and progression.From a long-term historical perspective,political parties with strong sense of self-reform is more resilient to survive long.
