This article explores the importance,current situation,and strategies of cultivating vocational school students'innovative thinking ability in mathematics teaching in the new era.By analyzing the relationship between mathematics teaching and innovative thinking ability,combined with the characteristics and actual teaching situation of vocational college students,a series of specific teaching methods and measures are proposed,including creating problem scenarios,conducting inquiry based teaching,using modern educational technology,encouraging group cooperative learning,and establishing a diversified evaluation system,aiming to improve the innovative thinking ability of vocational school students and lay a solid foundation for their future career development and personal growth.
