Huang Kan’s attention to and study of ancient scripts represented by oracle bones is an important issue in Zhang Huang’s scholarship,and the newly seen Huang Zhuo’s old collection of Huang Kan’s handwritten commentary on Qiwen Juli(《契文舉例》)provides new and important information for this purpose.Combined with Huang Kan’s diary,Wenzi Shengyun Xungu Biji(《文字聲韻訓詁筆記》)and other examination,found that Huang Kan concentrated on the study of oracle bone works at the same time,the Qiwen Juli(《契文舉例》)to criticism.The main content of the commentary includes four aspects:revision of Qiwen Juli(《契文舉例》),textual interpretation,investigation of textual examples,and connection to literature.As a unique material,the hand-criticized Qiwen Juli(《契文舉例》)can corroborate Huang Kan’s thesis on the method and purpose of treating ancient texts,reflecting the characteristics of Zhang Huang’s scholarship.
