Metaverse,as a highly realistic,real-time interaction virtual shared space constructed by information technology,provides an immersive and interactive virtual simulation platform for the teaching of ideological and political course.Metaverse virtual simulation teaching makes the ideological and politi-cal course present the characteristics of virtuality and creativity,latency and externality,permeability and control.The specific path of the virtual simulation teaching of ideological and political course empow-ered by the metaverse is mainly to realize immersive teaching content presentation,intelligent teaching environment control,and intelligent teaching through“virtual reality”,“intelligent environment”,and“intelligent teaching”.On this basis,through mining the hidden educational factors in the virtual simula-tion environment,enhancing the affinity and acceptance of teaching by technical means,and realizing the integration and unification of knowledge,emotion,intention and action by virtual simulation teaching and other implementation strategies,we can promote the reform and innovation of ideological and politi-cal course in a technological way,and enhance the affinity and infectiousness,relevance and effective-ness of ideological and political course.
