Objective:To analyze the consumables supervision model and practical outcomes in a Grade III Level A hospital and provide references for other hospitals aiming to improve refined management of consumables. Methods:A systematic analysis of the hospital’s comprehensive,full-process consumables supervision model based on the McKinsey 7S framework was conducted.Using a single-group interrupted time series method, changes in cost-related indicators before and after the implementation of the supervision model were compared, specifically focusing on post-thyroid cancer surgery patients from 2020 to 2023 to evaluate the effectiveness of the model. Results:After implementing the supervision model, the average monthly cost per case decreased by 72.74 CNY(P<0.05),and consumables expenses dropped by an average of 141.32 CNY per month(P<0.05).Following intervention, the average consumables cost per case was 5,281.23 CNY,lower than the citywide average of 5,690.27 CNY(P<0.05).Conclusion:This model demonstrated effective regulatory outcomes, with efficient cross-departmental collaboration, enhanced information monitoring methods, and comprehensive“combined measures”contributing to a higher level of scientific management for consumables, offering valuable insights for similar applications.
