小说语篇中互文性的动机语用阐析——以《林中之湖》为例

Pragmatic Motivational Analysis of Intertextuality in Fictional Discourse:Taking In the Lake of the Woods as an Example

互文性是语篇的普遍特征,是参与小说语篇建构的语用策略之一。本研究在厘清互文性和动机语用理论的内在联系的基础上,以美国作家梯姆·奥布莱恩的小说《林中之湖》为例,探讨对小说语篇进行互文性的动机语用阐析的可行性。研究发现:互文性传递文本信息,映射作者的创作思想,使小说语篇更具历史性、文学性和思想性;互文性指向小说语篇背后特定的历史背景、社会政治和社会群落的身份归属,有助于读者深入体会文本的审美性、隐喻性、寓言性等文学特征,进而促进作者与读者之间的互动。

Intertextuality is a universal feature of discourse and one of the pragmatic strategies involved in the construction of fictional discourse.Based on clarifying the internal connection between intertextuality and Motivation Model of Pragmatics,this study takes the American writer Tim O’Brien’s novel In the Lake of the Woods as an example to explore the feasibility of pragmatic motivational analysis of intertextuality in fictional discourse.The study found that intertextuality conveys textual information,and reflects the author’s creative ideas,making the fictional discourse more historical,literary,and ideological;besides,intertextuality points to the specific historical background,social politics,and social community identity behind the fictional discourse,helping readers to deeply appreciate the aesthetic,metaphorical,allegorical and other literary features of the text,thereby promoting interaction between the author and readers.
