Objective This study utilized cardiac magnetic resonance(CMR)to quantify epicardial adipose tissue(EAT)in myocardial infarction(MI)patients and explored its predictive value for atrial arrhythmias(AA)in MI patients. Methods A total of 83 MI patients diagnosed from January 2022 to March 2023 were collected.CVI-42 post-processing software was used to obtain cardiac structural and functional parameters.Patients were grouped into non-AA group and AA group based on dynamic electrocardiogram results. Results Among the 83 included MI patients, there were 34 cases in the AA group and 49 cases in the non-AA group. There were significant statistical differences(P<0.05)in EAT volume, left atrial volume, diabetes, age, body mass index(BMI),and gender between the two groups.EAT volume, left atrial volume,BMI,diabetes, and age were positively correlated with the occurrence of AA in MI patients(r_(s)>0.3,P<0.05).Multifactorial logistic regression and ROC analysis demonstrated that EAT volume had the greatest predictive efficacy for AA in MI patients(AUC=0.83,P<0.001).Conclusion In MI patients,EAT is an independent predictive factor for the occurrence of AA and has good predictive value.
