钟敬文先生是中国民间文艺学的奠基人,在他自五四时期开启的八十余年学术历程中,从理论研究、学科建设、人才培养、组织建设、国际交流等方面引领推动了中国民间文艺发展。钟敬文在其社会、人生、学术的交织演进中构建形成中国民间文艺学的本体论、价值论和方法论,体现了中国现代社会波澜壮阔的历史变革中民间文艺的学术生涯与学科建设的内在联系,包含了中国民间文艺研究的时代语境、学术理想和学科基础,具有深远意义。

Zhong Jingwen is the founder of studies of Chinese folk literature and art.In his academic course over eighty years since the May-Fourth period,he had been led and promoted the development of the field from various aspects such as theoretical research,discipline construction,organization building,and international communication.The ontology,axiology,and methodology formed through evolution intertwining with society,life,and academics,reflect the inherent relation between the academic career and discipline construction of folk literature and art within the magnificent historical changes in modern China,and include the context of the times,as well as academic ideal and discipline basis.
