Mao Zedong is the great pioneer of the localization of Marxism in China,as well as the great founder of China’s socialist modernization.In the historical leap from the 19th century to modern time,Mao Zedong’s philosophy has given Marxist philosophy a critical object,practical direction,cultural traits and discourse style in the Chinese con⁃text.Mao Zedong’s philosophy establishes a new worldview,epistemology,values and view of history in revolution⁃ary practice,and scientifically indicates the inevitable direction and subject of the modern historical process.With dialectical materialism,Mao Zedong explained a worldview that matches the modern productive forces,succeeded the task of enlightenment of industrial civilization since modern times,and gave the Chinese people a thoroughly critical and revolutionary ideology with materialistic dialectics.With historical materialism,Mao Zedong systemati⁃cally summarized the gains and losses of various national salvation schemes since the 19th century,clearly defined the people as the main body that creates,changes,and speaks history,and stimulated the people’s selfconsciousness in creating modern history.With Marxist’s view on practice,Mao Zedong pointed out that the way out of modern civilization is the revolutionary practice of imperialism,and inspired the Communist Party of China to unite and lead the Chinese people in exploring the road of modern civilization towards the future and opening it up to the people of the world in a way that combines patriotism and internationalism.
