On December 10,1948,in the wake of the horrors of World War II,nations around the globe came together to endorse the Universal Declaration of Human Rights(UDHR).This landmark document,adopted without opposi-tion by any member state of the newly established United Nations,outlines a set of fundamental rights meant to apply universally to all people.
