The dual impact of climate change and increasing human activity has caused countries around the world,including Asian countries,to generally face more severe water security risks and challenges.Optimally utilizing and protecting water resources has become the common task of all countries.The 3rd Asia International Water Week(3rd AIWW),co-hosted by the Ministry of Water Resources of China and the Asia Water Council,commenced in Beijing on September 24.The conference was warmly received by guests from throughout the region,capturing Asian countries’strong feelings about water security and demonstrating how urgently needed global efforts to tackle climate change.
