Red culture has enduring vitality and influence. It is the collective name of the red artifact culture and red ideological culture formed by the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in the process of revolution, construction, reform and revival, highlighting the lofty value orientation, the spirit of arduous struggle and distinct patriotic feelings. The application of red culture in ideological and political education is not only an internal demand for strengthening students' ideological and political education, but also an objective requirement for ideological and political education, which is also a vital way to raise ideological and political education to a new height. Taking red culture as an important carrier of ideological and political education in colleges requires the joint efforts of colleges, teachers, students and red bases to build a publicity mechanism, education mechanism, learning mechanism and emotional experience mechanism of red culture.
