The syndrome differentiation system of“twelve disciplines-pathology-prescription syndromes”is a new insight put forward by Professor Wang Qingjian inspired by Mr.Hu Xishu's thinking of“six classics-eight disciplines-prescription syndromes”.The system guides clinical diagnosis and treatment from the aspects of symptom analysis,diagnosis and judgment,prescription selection and medication,which is conducive to improving the efficiency of clinical diagnosis and treatment.This paper will share a medical case of Professor Wang Qingjian's treatment of renal colic with the syndrome differentiation system of“twelve courses-pathology-prescription syndrome”,so as to provide a basis for the specific clinical application of the syndrome differentiation system.
