The impact of urban noise pollution on population health is becoming increasingly prominent.As an effective technical means,automatic noise monitoring system plays a vital role in monitoring,managing and reducing urban noise pollution.This paper described the technology of automatic noise monitoring system and its application in urban ecological planning.Taking Beijing and Shanghai as examples,it show the important role of the system in reducing noise pollution and improving urban environment,and discussed its future development direction and challenges.
