The history of initial development,rapid development and modernized reorganization of the U.S.Army field hospitals was introduced.The construction of small-sized modular field hospitals after reorganization was described in terms of organizational structure,configuration and layout,medical supplies and tent system,and the main features were analyzed.It's pointed out that modularization,lightweighting,informatization and intellectualization were the future development trends of the U.S.Army field hospitals.
