“见招拆招”:金庸小说武打场景英译的体认解读

“Actions and Reactions”:An Embodied-Cognitive Reading of the English Translation of the Fighting Scenes of Jin Yong Wuxia

《射雕英雄传》英译本第二卷A Bond Undone的译者张菁通过修习太极拳激活感觉运动系统,充分体验武侠世界,深入理解金庸小说的武打场景。在此基础上,她凭借识解重构、主观化操作等多种认知加工方式,采用增译、节译、改写等各种“映射”和“创仿”手段,再现武打场景的精彩纷呈,增强译文的“到肉”感。通过剖析张菁的“体验式翻译”路径与“见招拆招”的翻译过程,本文旨在探究身体运动及感官如何影响翻译实践,进一步揭示文学翻译过程中的体认运作机制,拓展体认翻译学的研究对象。

Zhang Jing,the translator of A Bond Undone,the second volume of the English version of Legends of the Condor Heroes,activates her sensorimotor system,fully experiences the world of martial arts,and understands the fighting scenes in Jin Yong's novels through the practice of Taijiquan.On this basis,she reproduces the wonderful fighting scenes and enhances the sense of“precise strike”in the translation with a variety of cognitive processing methods such as construal reconstruction,subjective operation,etc.,and various“mapping”and“imitation”methods such as addition,omission,and rewriting.By analyzing Zhang Jing's path of“experiential translation”,this paper aims to explore how bodily movements and senses affect translation practice,further reveal the mechanism of cognitive activities in the process of literary translation,and expand the research objects of Embodied-cognitive Translatology.
