This paper delves deeply into the application of Building Information Modeling(BIM)technology in construction management of the buildings and the revolutionary changes it brings.With the rapid advancement of technology,BIM technology has become a core technology in the modern construction industry.It’s not just about 3D modeling,but a whole life management tool integrating the design,construction,and operation management.The uniqueness of BIM technology lies in its in-depth information management,which encompasses rich building data,such as material properties,cost estimation,and construction timeline.In the construction phase of building projects,the application of BIM technology is particularly crucial.It allows for real-time monitoring of the construction progress,reduces material waste and construction errors,and guarantees the quality management of the project.Through specific practical cases,for example,underground pipeline renovation and detailed construction of heating networks,the paper illustrates how BIM technology brings revolutionary changes to the construction.Combining with these cases,clear BIM application strategies are proposed to ensure that it can provide actual and continuous value for the project.It also demonstrates how the application of BIM technology in construction management provides more opportunities for the construction industry.
