Digital Economy,Foreign Trade and High-quality Development of City Clusters in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River

基于2010—2020年长江中游城市群面板数据,研究数字经济对高质量发展的影响机制.首先,构建数字经济与高质量发展的多维评价体系,测度并分析其时空分异特征.其次,通过空间杜宾模型研究数字经济对高质量发展的影响.结果表明,数字经济水平呈现从西向东的倒“V”型空间分布,高质量发展呈“N”型分布,形成以省会城市为中心的圈状分布特点;数字经济对高质量发展具有“先缓后陡”的非线性增长效应,并通过空间溢出效应显著推动相邻城市的发展;对外贸易是数字经济促进高质量发展的重要传导机制.最后,就依托数字经济赋能高质量发展提出相应的建议.

Based on the panel data of the city cluster from 2010 to 2020 in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,this study examines the impact mechanism of the digital economy on high-quality development.A multidimensional evaluation system is constructed to analyze the spatial and temporal characteristics,followed by the application of a spatial Durbin model to explore the digital economy’s effects.The results indicate that the digital economy exhibits an inverted“V”distribution from west to east,while high-quality development follows an“N”distribution,forming a circular pattern centered on provincial capitals.The digital economy shows a non-linear"slow then steep"growth effect on high-quality development and significantly boosts neighboring cities through spatial spillover effects.Additionally,foreign trade acts as a key transmission mechanism for promoting high-quality development.Finally,policy recommendations are provided to leverage the digital economy for advancing high-quality development.
