Academic Thought and Experience of Professor Li Qi in Treating Chronic Kidney Disease with the Theory of Spleen and Stomach Pivot

脾胃是人体内气机升降之枢机,为人生命活动之根本,若脾胃气机升降有序,则五脏和谐,气血调畅。云南省名中医、云南省著名中医肾脏病专家李琦教授指出,脾胃枢机升降紊乱是引发和加剧慢性肾脏病(CKD)的关键环节,因而调节脾胃气机升降是医治CKD的重要方法。在治疗中既要重视健脾扶正,也应兼顾祛除邪毒,才能有效改善CKD患者临床症状及延缓其病情发展。此文将分享李琦教授应用脾胃枢机理论治疗CKD的学术思想及经验。

Spleen and stomach are the pivot of qi movement in human body.If the qi movement of spleen and stomach rises and falls orderly,the five internal organs will be harmonious and qi and blood will be smooth,which is the foundation of human life activities.Professor Li Qi,a famous TCM doctor in Yunnan Province and a famous TCM nephrology expert in Yunnan Province,pointed out that the disorder of spleen and stomach pivot movement is the key link to cause and aggravate chronic kidney disease,so regulating the movement of spleen and stomach qi is an important method to treat chronic kidney disease.In the treatment,we should not only pay attention to strengthening spleen and strengthening body resistance,but also give attention to eliminating pathogenic toxin,which can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with chronic kidney disease and delay its disease development.This article will share Professor Li Qi’s academic thoughts and experience in treating chronic kidney disease with the theory of spleen and stomach pivot.
