王蒙不仅是一个著名的作家 ,同时也是一个活跃的批评家。他的批评对新时期文学创作和文学批评都产生了广泛而深远的影响。他的批评是直觉还原型 ,其特点是突显自己的主观感受 ,形式上不拘一格 ,在杂乱的表面下有着较为稳固的审美标准 ,即自然真实和理想精神的结合 ;但其博大的胸襟与审美标准之间有时不够一致 ,从而构成王蒙的不幸。

Wang Meng is not only a famous writer but also an active literature critic.His criticism has affected the literature creating and criticising during the new age widely and lastingly.Belonging to the type of intuition and reduction,the main feafure of wang meng's criticism is to stress on one's own subjective feeling while not stick to one pattern in form.Under the disorderly surface,there lies his rather stable aesthetic standard,that is,the compound of natural authenticity and idealism.However,disagreement appears between his broad mind and aesthetic standard at times,which eventually leads to his fatal weakness.
