Women and Sustainable Forestry Development in Guizhou Mountainous Areas 2. Role and decision-making in forestry production

经过对贵州长顺县凯佐乡大补羊、硐口两个村的调查 ,得出如下结论 :在林业生产发展中 ,妇女和男人的角色是不一样的。硐口村的妇女更多是与男性一道参加林业生产活动 ,而大补羊村的妇女则相对较独立地参加林业生产活动。硐口村妇女在林业生产发展中参与的机会少 ,决策权比男性低 ,而大补羊村妇女则较多地参加林业生产发展的会议 。

Investigation on forestry production was carried out in Kaizhuo Township, Changshun County, Guizhou Province. The results showed: the roles of women and men are different in forestry development activities. In Dongkou village , women usually participate in forestry development activities together with their husbands, they also have fewer opportunities to attend community forestry development meetings and have lower decision making rights. In Dabuyang village, women participate in forestry development more dependently, they have more chances to attend community forestry development meetings and have more decision making rights.
