黔西高原绵羊放牧系统的改良

IMPROVEMENT OF SHEEP GRAZING SYSTEM IN HIGH COUNTRY of WEST GUIZHOU PLATEAU

摘要:黔西高原海拔区是南方主要绵羊产区之一,但目前集约型羊场和农户小规模羊群的草地利用效率与家畜生产性能均未达到应有的水平。其原因之一,是现行放牧系统本身的制约影响。现系统的产羔期在冬季,这就使草地的季节生长模式与家畜的牧草需要模式不能很好地平衡,从而影响系统的效率与产出。产羔期改在春季时,可使草地的牧草供求平衡、载畜能力、牧草利用效率及管理的灵活性提高到新的水平,从而降低成本,增加产出。

The high country in Western Guizhou Plateau is one of the major sheep farming areas in south China, but the current levels of pasture utilization and animal production are much lower than their potential. One of the major problems for that is the limiting effects of the current grazing system, in which the lambing time is in winter so that the pasture supply dose not meet the animal requirements closely, and the efficiency and outputs of the system are limited. Shifting the lambing date from winter to spring will lead to a better balance between feed supply and requirements in each season of the year, higher carrying capacity, efficient utilization of pasture, and greater flexibility of management. Therefore, the costs of management will decrease and the output from the sheep system will increase.
