Public acceptance is becoming a key problem for nuclear power development. Safety of new built nuclear power plant has been greatly improved since Three Mile Island accident, while public acceptance was not increased remarkably because of discrepancies between the public and the nuclear experts. An explanation from the perspective of risk perception and risk decision making is maden. Some implications are also put forward to help improve public acceptance.
