This paper introduces a low energy γ-ray inspection technology and system for real-time, in-service pipe corrosion detection. The system can be used both for general survey, and for real-time, on-line, accu-rate and quick detection of corrosion of pipe-line with or without insulation. The graphical and digital measurement results facilitate the storing and tracking of pipe corrosion condition. It will contribute very much to the safe production of enterprises.
